

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 7, 2010) - Schneider Power Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ:QTWW) announced today that it has signed a definitive 20-year power purchase agreement with the Ontario Power Authority for energy that will be produced by a new wind farm under development in northern Ontario. The 10-megawatt Trout Creek Wind Project is expected to be generating electricity by 2012.
The power purchase agreement is one of the first to be signed under Ontario's new Feed-in-Tariff program which pays $135 dollars per Megawatt-hour to renewable electricity generators. The project is anticipated to create more than 40 jobs during the construction phase and approximately 3 permanent positions.
Schneider Power's President Thomas Schneider said the agreement with the Ontario Power Authority is an important step in the company's efforts to increase its renewable energy portfolio.
